"Although this fair was smaller than regular Texworld fairs held in Europe, it marked a good beginning of our effort to introduce our products to brand owners in America, which is a huge market with high purchasing power."
Thai companies which displayed their products in a joint space under the name "Thailand Sourcing" were Thai Socks Co., Ltd., Nanyang Fabric, Thai Textile Industry, and World Knitting Textile. J.P. Bosco financed 60% of the expenses incurred at this exhibition while its customers funded the remaining expenses.
"Orders received during the exhibition were not substantial, but our primary aim is to explore future market opportunities. We wanted major U.S. brand names and fashion companies to get to know Thai factories and to consider using our services. Participation at the next year's event scheduled for January 2007 depends entirely on our customers' satisfaction. If any company wants to attend we are ready to offer our support. We also welcome enquiries from new customers who may be interested in participating in future U.S. Texworld events" Mr. Panusak affirmed.
