Mr Somchai said the panel meeting's resolution will be submitted to Labour Minister Paitoon Kaewthong for endorsement on Tuesday. The new minimum wage is expected to take effect on Jan 1 as a New Year present for workers.
The new minimum daily wage, if aproved, will be 206 baht a day for Bangkok and Samut Prakarn, 171 baht for Chiang Mai, 204 baht for Phuket, 181 baht for Ayutthaya, 157 baht for Khon Kaen, 178 baht for Rayong and 184 baht for Saraburi.
The lowest rate would be 151 baht in Nan, Phayao and Phrae.
