Even though the global textile market is still facing economic challenges, the massive demand of China's domestic consumption and prosperity of the clothing and fabric market, garners huge potential for growth in the region's yarns & fibre market sector. In the first half of 2009, the accumulated production volume increased nearly 7 percent as compared with the previous year, whereas the sales volume of apparel products grew 18 percent. Additionally, industry experts believe that by 2010, the per capita fabric consumption in China will reach 17 - 18 kilograms, resulting in a steady and rising demand for yarns & fibres.
Last year, over 4,500 visitors from 42 countries and regions attended, an increase of 27 percent as compared with 2008. Proving that a speciality yarns & fibre trade event in China is in demand.
Fair positioned during Beijing Fashion Week
Thousands of industry professionals will be in Beijing to attend Intertextile Beijing Apparel Fabrics (30 March - 1 April 2010), which features around 1,000 Chinese and international textile suppliers and the China International Clothing and Accessories Fair (CHIC) (28 - 31 March 2010), one of China's leading garment fairs.
Together, these events will benefit all textile industry related professionals from a crossover of buyers from the three major textile events.
