Leading Thai denim brand, Mc Jeans, is going to make a big splash on the local fashion scene come Thursday, June 18. The brand has joined with Smallroom, a hip indie music label, to create the ``Mc and Match Independent Style by Smallroom'', a fashion show to be modelled by more than 30 of the music label's artists. Each artist will be sporting Mc Jean's denim specially created to fit each individual style.

The event will culminate with a mini-concert featuring Smallroom's three top bands _ Tattoo Colour, The Richman Toy and Slur. It will take place on Thursday, June 18 at 7pm at Zen Gallery, 8th floor of Zen department store.

Throughout its 30 years in fashionable denim wear, Mc Jeans has been known for its range of chic leg styles, its advanced denim wash techniques and its easy-to-wear quality. It is a brand that allows individuals to create their own styles of denim wear and to mix and match their fashion items to reflect their character and personality.

For ``Mc and Match Independent Style by Smallroom'', the four boys of the rock'n'roll band Slur choose skinny fit jeans matched with T-shirts and leather or denim jackets and leather boots or shoes to create a crisp, confident look.

The label's No. 1 band, Tattoo Colour, reflect the smart, cool look of their pop rock style with dark blue washed skinny and straight leg jeans worn with shirts and blazers to create a harmony between strength and gentility.

The Richman Toy, the label's newcomers with a combination of retro and country rock music style, prefer bright and colourful patterned outfits. They chose black and brown corduroy jeans in both skinny and loose fits to produce a different, indie look.

Yarinda Bunnag, whose cool look is just like her folk, pop, rock style of music, pairs accessories such as bangles and necklaces made of natural materials with a simple black T-shirt, and focusses on skinny fit jeans to accentuate her mysterious look.

The newest Smallroom artist, Maria Lynn Ehren, a professional model turned singer, brings on the highly fashionable look by matching bright tops with scarlet skinny jeans and ankle boots in street-wear style.

Gene has created an extreme avant-garde look by wearing an ivory suit jacket with a multi-strand pearl necklace and a pair of ripped slim fit denim jeans; the girls from Leisure Songs go for the funky teenage look, with colourful jeans in shades of green and purple, and graphic T-shirts.

Lemon Soup present the smooth college look, while Superbaker are seen in a warm and easy style, with checked shirts and light colour denim jeans and red ties. The macho look is favoured by the six boys of the all-male band, Lomo, who pair their top quality denim jeans with distinctive hairstyles.

The ``Mc & Match Independent Style by Smallroom'' project will create an exciting vibe with the legend of denim in Thailand through artists with highly individual styles from Smallroom on Thursday, June 18 at 7pm.
